Introduction :

Dr. Elbatrawy started to do limb lengthening surgery since 1995.
Untill the year of 2006, Dr. Elbatrawy lengthened succesfully more than 1000 patients.
Many patients has pathological condition that need lengthening to equalize one limb to the contralateral normal one.
Some short persons like to do the operation for cosmetic reasons.

Dr. Elbatrawy like to help Achondroplastic dwarfs to achieve lengthening, so they can do better job and can do things that normal stature people can do. Up to 30 centimeters of lengthening could be achieved successfully in Achondroplasia or dwarfs.
Different techniques for lengthening are available. Ilizarov ring fixator, Orthofix, Taylor Spatial frame and computer aided lengthening, LON or lengthening over nail and intramedullary lengthening as using ISKD or Fitbone are all available.
